Allie
Meet Allie, an 18 year old coder who first realized her love for coding through video games. She used Tumblr to learn html and css. She wants to use her coding skills to make a game that will have a positive impact on people.
Naba
Meet Naba! She's the 1st in her family to go to college. She went from doing research in political science to doing a law internship and became frustrated when she couldn't find something she loved. That changed when she met a man in a coffee shop who told her she should try a career in tech. She ultimately ended up loving computer science and went on to become a Google scholar, win 2 hackathons, and start her own company called Codewego. She started this company to help kids from other countries learn how to code in their native language.
Ellie & Rachel
Meet Ellie & Rachel, they're currently 14 and were first exposed to code at the age of 12. Ellie didn't know what coding was but says she decided to join her schools club because it sounded like magic. Rachel chose to join because she had seen her cousins persue an education in computer science. They say they enjoy coding because of the sense of accomplishment they get from it. Ellie described computers as magical and they both love that you can make anything you want with the power of code.
